Although I consider TOMAR to be science fiction,

there are some that would consider it to be fantasy because I introduce some of the Native American spiritual beliefs into it and treat them as simple fact.

Tomar is a Native American, and a scout ship pilot for the Space Force of the Terran Federation.

Earth is at war in space with the Melbar, and a Melbar cruiser chances upon Tomar just as he is about to leave a new planet that he has discovered. They immediately open fire on Tomar, but he manages to launch his single weapons grade torpedo and destroys the enemy ship, but not before his own scout ship is critically damaged.

Tomar crash lands in the desert, and has to make a trek across the desert and a mountain chain in order to reach an area where he can survive until a rescue arrives for him. His struggle to survive is further complicated when he discovers that some of the Melbar have also crash landed on the planet, and they want nothing more than to see him dead.

This book details his struggles to survive. Not only is it an action packed science fiction, there are also elements of mystery and humor. And throw in a few plot twists and it makes a book that is hard to put down.

This book not only addresses Tomar's physical journey through life, but also deals with his inner development. So it is a science fiction novel, but it is also in a low key sense a spiritual book as well. Order Now
